Correct. Fracking is used primarily for tight reservoirs like with CSG to fracture the caol seams and for shale oil and gas to fracture the shale. Rarely used in converntional oil and gas extraction.
Point is if fracking is restricted (as it has been in NSW) there will be smaller volumes of unconventional oil nad gas produced.
