They do not wish to be known to have even a small interest knowing what public knowledge of it would do to the share price before they were ready to act, They hide behind nominee companies in far off places and trying to establish their identity is like trying ti pick up quicksilver. From a question I asked at an AGM, I ascertained that CDU was concerned at that time to try an establish the true identity of nominee companies on ?ts share register. I have had personal experience with a company I once worked for. A sustantial share holding in a nominee account appeared on the register. Every endeavour met a brick wall chasing overseas destinations. As it turned out,the one we all thought was the logical owner turned out to be another competitor who now owns the company. In times past, multiple nominee accounts could hide a large holding. This practice is illegal now as any relationship in excess of a 5% holding has to be declared.How actively this is monitored by Authorities is unknown to me but I am unaware of any malpractice in this regard being tested in court so just maybe everyone is playing the ball with a straight bat. Difficult to tell but let us hope so.
