Edwards had the trial for their next gen valve halted last year due to problems with the delivery mechanism so deep pockets don't necessarily guarantee a better product. I think it took 7-8 months for them to solve the problem and get the trial back on track but it was not an issue they were willing to give details about in calls so what exactly happened was murky.

There is also the possibility that somebody else (using AI?) could come up with a design that's clearly superior to everything currently on the market or in trials but it will have to start from square one and there's no doubt that Anteris has made progress moving the DurAVR forward to this point.

As for future raises, I used $15 in my calculations which I think is reasonable. Anybody can easily do their own with a lower average share price per raise.
