yep the global population of all life forms is under threat. from man-made factors increasing the GHGs in the atmosphere. this doesn't imply any sort of collapse, unless the global govts don't act to reduce GHG emissions.

ps, when I history has there been a similar circumstance? our burgeoning population, our energy needs transforming to low emissions tech, our industrial system of production and global transport, our reliance on China for all manufacturing...... yes its messy, but is it collapsing?
