I would find it a more believable investment case for graphene developers if they were not wedded to any particular source stock of carbon. Potential source stock for graphene (in all forms) is nearly infinite. The cart leading the horse approach is just a promo, unscientific at that. If the ultimate breakthrough for graphene commercialisation does come down to a particular characteristic of natural graphite, then go isolate the best sources. None of those best sources are likely to be unique to any one tenement holder, so resource developers can simply compete with each other to win any emerging market for graphene feed stock.
