China’s Jixi Mining Exchange offloads nine graphite mines to private interests

The Heilongjiang government’s decision to relinquish state-owned mining rights into private hands is a significant step in China’s attempts to develop its graphite and other mineral sectors, while BTR Energy’s acquisition of a graphite processing plant in Jixi will accelerate spherical graphite production in the region.
One of China’s top graphite-producing provinces has sold the rights to nine state-owned graphite mines, as part of a plan to open up mineral exploration in the region to the private sector.....
