But you don't know Scott, you only hope. In the meantime, the only thing we know about the Voice is that it gives people who are wringing their hands with guilt over the historic treatment of First Australians and their current disadvantage, an opportunity to virtue signal and let people know that they wish things were different; a way that whities can assuage their guilt, about probably a great many other things, without necessarily knowing what the outcome will be.

If you want to know what the outcome can be, ask Noel Pearson how he dispersed the $550 million he garnered for the 3000 First Australians up north. That's $183,000 for every one, a lifechanging amount for anyone living in poverty and disadvantage, and yet the indices all went backwards despite this money. He's indigenous, we obviously listened to him because he got hundreds of millions of dollars that has now been dispersed into the ether with no apparent benefit.

Will Noel Pearson be on the Voice? Will he bring his expertise to dispersing more money with greater power? What makes you think that when he puts on a Voice hat he will be any more proficient in dispersing billions of dollars?

Do you think perhaps an enquiry into indigenous spending over the last 30 years should have been carried out before we asked Australians to put a Voice in the Constitution?

Voting No isn't racist. Voting No is wanting to see better oversight and a more efficient process. This is why the Yes vote has plumetted. They can blame Peter Dutton or Jacinta Price etc all they like - and they will - but they are missing the point. Millions of No voters never listened to Peter Dutton or Jacinta Price or the fear campaigns, they just looked at the Voice at face value and didn't like it.

Calling people racist and stupid was just the cherry on top of their failure.
