RE: You said: "... Not even a note to say we are taking a look picking up soil and rock chip samples."

Actually, we do have a very informative announcement already, eg:
    Refer ANN: https://www.marmota.com.au/investors/asx-announcements/doc_view/760-major-rare-earth-discovery-along-meu-tenement-boundary-26-april-2022.html

    Page 1, Highlight D):
"Marmota to commence new exploration program for Rare Earth Mineralisation with
immediate targets starting at the discovery on Marmota’s tenement boundary
    "

    Page 5, Dot point 3:
"Marmota is seeking to put in place the necessary approvals to have this work carried out."

    Also Note:
All of these REE tenements (for both PTR & MEU) are within the Woomera Prohibited Defence Area. (And not the basic "green" zone)

So, as @gary123 beat me to saying, it's not a simple matter of just hopping in a truck to go take a look, sadly. Although, I'd bet they are tempted. LOL.

    eg;
Normal Due Diligence research for any explorer in the WPA, includes:

    * Defence Dept need applications for access to each tenement at least 2 weeks in advance

    * Applications can take up to 2 weeks before submission (to collate with availability of specific personnel involved, security/police checks for any new drivers/staff/temporary consultants, equipment inventory, specific activities to be conducted, and specific dates for each expedition).

It is much like planning an expedition to the south pole, but with the arctic base still partially under construction, and the temperature guage stressing in the opposite direction, LOL.

Then each WPA zone is also subject to various exclusion periods and conditions, which may also require negotiation/re-scheduling. eg:

Aurora Tank (EL 6470) is in a tenement which straddles 2 zones, but the gold deposit is down in the Green Zone (SW corner).
It's about 4 tenements west of PTR's new REE discovery.

Meanwhile, the PTR REE Tenements are in the Amber Zone 2 (access corridor)
(I highlighted them in red below

We are lucky that most of our "REE neighbouring" EL 6083 is also mostly in the Green Zone, so if the mineralisation is that far widespread, we may be lucky in being able to explore during additional periods when PTR cannot (depending how much extra air/ground space the Defence folks need of the Green Zone either side of their main corridor at the time).

REF: Sarig Layers for tenements in the WPA:

Upcoming compulsory exclusion periods for the Amber Zone 2 (Access corridor) are still ages away in October:
So with luck and timely lab results from a prompt 1st expedition, we may be able to squeeze in a 2nd excursion before Christmas, (but hopefully never at the expense of any delays to Aurora Tank.)

    REF: https://www.defence.gov.au/bases-locations/sa/woomera/access/exclusion-periods :

Either way, Defence approvals usually take about 2 to 6 weeks, last I heard.

(Sadly, a JV or Farm-in is not a shortcut at this stage, because, as I understand it, all new tenement agreements for such deals also need approval from SA Mining Department first, where the backlog from recent major changes to the Mining Act are still causing long delays of many months.)

So if Defence can't squeeze us in before October (under the conditions of our current exploration licence), we'll probably be waiting til Christmas.

And so will PTR, who may also need to wait for more lab results first (to help narrow their targeting focus).

    ...

Wouldn't it be interesting though, if both companies can get out there at the same time this financial year to compare non-price sensitive notes and theories, even if it's just casually over a cold beer in the shade at the end of a hot day, at the proverbial tenement fence. biggrin.png

We probably owe them at least one cold keg after this anyway, LOL.
