    Well they can't knife her like they did Rudd, if she refuses to step down they can't force her because she'll threaten to resign. No doubt many backbenchers want her gone, because they realise they have no hope of retaining their jobs with her at the helm. But what can they do? As we all know, she'll do anything and say anything to keep the job.

    It all hangs by a thread though, if just one backbencher grows a set and resigns, he/she will be a hero and will at least keep their seat, even if it's in opposition.

    But I think we'll have to wait for May 2012 when Wilkie's stupid poker machine reforms are squashed by the lapdog indies Windsor & Oakeshott. No doubt Labor think this is their best plan, however they underestimate Wilkie imo, and if he doesn't get what he wants, for whatever reason, he'll withdraw his support.

    Of course Thompson might cave under the pressure, and anything can happen to any one of them.
