Discipline surely includes your language, and the grammar you use too?
I find the regular use of 'shit' for no reason far worse than misspelling a word here and there, especially when so called smart phones tend to insert the incorrect word at times without us realising.
"the whole gig" "grinds my gears"
Someone with English as their second language would understand a misspelt word before they understood your colloquialisms.
Therefore, I'd suggest you pull your socks up too (!) before you have a go at others!
