I can't imagine CER will be that out of pocket for the legal case.

If it settles at mediation, the most likely event is that the losses will be covered by insurance.

I've also heard that the auditors are being joined as co-defendants.

Even if it gets to court it will be years down the track before any final judgment (let alone appeals).
