This is pathetic, grubby & divisive virtue signalling of the worst kind. How many tribal place names are there for god's sake and who would ever know or learn them, except the dutiful sheeple at the ABC who are obliged to recite the litany at the beginning of every program. Did we ever get a vote to require or authorise the ABC to go through this farcical procedure. Does it happen elsewhere? For instance, does the BBC go through the same process to acknowledge the traditional ancient tribal names of the original inhabitants of those islands?
