Where do you get the figure of $1.5 million from, to drill a 2000m hole? That makes it $750 a metre - this isn't an oil well, it's a mineral rig, about $100 to $150 per metre, or about $200,000 to $300,000 for the hole. The Qld govt is meeting half the cost, so the cost to CTO is only $150,000. Not a lot in the great scheme of things.
