Couldn't agree more with you're philosophy . A house is by far the biggest expense in most people's life so reducing that cost and making good use of the spare cash is the go.

Country living vs city living ( partly because of the cheaper housing ) is my choice. I've lived in the city as well but the daily grind wasn't for me . I am country born however .

While I officially endorse your choice of lifestyle , I'm curious as to you plans for a retirement income ? Getting old and not being able to work catches out a lot of people and then the lifestyle goes to crap . Hope your putting away a few of the fun coupons for later.

P.S. Tell your mate not to miss out riding through the Strzleckis ( South Gippy Hwy , Woodside North , Mt Tassie , Traralgon , Boolarra , Mirboo North etc ) . Plenty of nice windy roads through rolling green hills. Watch out for the cow cockies on tractors though.
