replacing the tyres twice as much due to lard arse weight & Insurance premiums through the roof..

None of which makes a compelling reason to buy.

If you want to save the planet just keep your current ICE.

Some correct and some bits not MG 4 insurance is not more than my prior Landrover. The Servicing cost for the EV are several thousand less per year - I know I don't drive my MG in rivers and up the mountains and 4wd tracks of course

Keeping the Landrover on the road is now in another happy families' hands happily.

I can do about 400km in the MG before stopping to recharge on Melbourne Port Fairy Chemotherapy MUM runs now. The Landrover could do 12000km with a very sore butt if I didn't stop- Long Range Tanks did take about $400 to fill up which bits a bit of course ontop of its maintenance bill.

Very happy with user pays for the charging. Solar is doing it for free at the moment. Check the Economics forum for my thoughts on Solar and Wind. Nice but part time only of course. Waiting for the sun to come up before pluggin my EV in only works some times- We work all the time

For every thing else Nuclear power would help of course
