Agree with you John,
I would also add that if gold goes down it usually brings the AUD down with it - so the economics of Challenger may not be as badly effected if the supplier costs go down and AUD goes down.
And as you mention, KCN always has the option to put Challenger on care-and-maintenance to ride out any extended slump
