I'm a GIR holder. I won't be looking to sell AGO straight away.

I generally hate resources companies from an analysis point of view. For the juniors it's all about hope and for the majors commodity prices and the macro picture will generally drive the earnings, and not prudent management.

GIR is the only resources stock I own and have done so since 2001 as my only speccy.

So why not take my profits and run after I acquire AGO.

For me this looks fairly simple - a lot of the general uncertainties associated with most small to medium producers have been taken out of the equation with this new combined entity; port access risk is gone, long term ore reserves are there, mine to port solution is there although there is the upside risk that this can be streamlined through rail, capacity risks are being taken away particularly with turner hub coming online......... The key variant now for AGO could only be long term iron ore prices and the growth of sth east Asian economies in particular...... I'm fairly bullish on this long term even with china doing the seemingly prudent thing of cooling .

12mt pa and eventually to 22 mtpa with the possibility of cost efficiencies through rail......... It's really a no brainer to hold at these prices.
