definitely not pessimistic. actually the opposite. you can still want and have goals in life, heck i have more than most.

actually makes you a more empathetic and understanding person. There are lots of narcissistic traits here on HC and a couple people come to mind.

I didnt win trade entrepenuer of the year last year being a pessimistic person.

Your view is your view. i also know youre about 30 years older than me, and up until i was 20 my pop was my best mate. (hes not a lot older than you judging from comments from you in the past) wasnt til then i understood his view on the world and mine were not really aligned what soever.

so you see my spiel on expectation as pessimistic when i would say its conservative.

each to their own! I dont care how anybody else chooses to live their lives, but i wont stop trying to help others around me, and not everyone will agree with what i say. and thats cool.

otherwise everybody would be the same, and as you say, different perspectives are a learning opportunity.
