    The issue is that they are selling houses, yes at a profit (unlikely if you factor in interest, rates and insurance), but they are likely to be carrying debt still... so profit - debt = possible tidy sum... however, now they have to buy back into an inflatted market sooooo they get more debt. There is no real money out there its all leveraged to try and keep pace.


    Housing = non-productive asset the storesthe vaste majority of Australias "wealth".
