That just about sums up why this present Govt. will never make an important decision for this Country so long as it is in power (tenuously). Frightened to upset the Greens, frightened to upset the Independents and absolutely terrified of upsetting the Coalition.
That's why we're seeing Ms.Gillard pushing her profile with her trips overseas - best to be seen to be doing something.
Afghanistan - failure (the guys thought it was Ronald MacDonald in drag)
Malaysia - failure (got to meet Obama though)
Indonesia - failure (warned not to meddle)
Portugal - failure (55 hours travel time, 24 hours in Lisbon at a NATO conference with no input).
yep - best to give an illusion of doing something.
