Almost totally agree. Forget about being able to read and write for citizenship, the buck should stop at the border. If you can't at least speak English or an Aboriginal dialect then tourist visa is all you get. As stated the poroblems are many and the remedy simple. Now is the time to act. I'm not anti-immigration, I want to converse with them. Isn't that how multi-culturalism works. Seems all I recall is ethnic enclaves where they only speak to each other.
