Most of us understand that the Politicians want as much immigration as they can get away with, for their own and the multinationals benefit
But various figure have been quoted and I seem to remember that Victoria has a figure of about 40% foreign born people in it's population, but the socialists and the latte crowd still want more, even though we are already at one of the highest rates in the world
The USA figure is --- According to the US Census Bureau, America’s foreign-born population rose from 5 per cent of the total in 1970 to 13 per cent in 2015. This amount is unexceptional by rich-world standards (ask the Swiss) but it is higher than anything the US has seen since the 1920s, when anti-immigrant sentiment prompted a tightening of the laws.
