I think the privileged weak are behind it. Those in power positions in rentier monopolistic positions are behind it selling things with difficult substitutes are behind it. This includes politicians that want a greater head count for more money, union leaders who want a greater head count for more money and executives who want more supply from weaker workers from India, or Africa or China or some other repressive environment because it enables the puppet masters to exert more power.
The trouble is why have the repressed not rose up in India and China in particular, less so in Africa as they have their conflicts?
A stronger privileged person does not want more immigration IMO especially a higher performer in a competitive market. Its not a race thing. Even an Australian of Chinese background/ancestory would not want immigrants because it weakens their wealth and competitive position!!!! Some may ask why a high performer from any race would not want immigration and here is a list which is not exhaustive:
1: No need for immigrants because work is filled already. If you are a higher performer you can get workers without immigration.
2. Immigration increases costs. Immigration increases misallocation of resources, infrastructure spending that otherwise would not be necessary
3. Immigration increases social unrest because too many people creates dysfunction not to mention cultural havoc and a loss of identity
4. Immigration reduces tourism as no reason for people to come as uniqueness of a location is reduced especially from a culture vulture perspective.
5. Immigration reduced competitiveness especially internationally as costs are factored from immigration. This includes government debt accumulation from immigration that still has to be charged back via taxation. Remember the federal government debt still has to be charged back to those that can pay it including companies exporting including the executives/owners. This includes the cost of unemployment, under employment and a host of other issues including murder and other social disharmony caused by immigration.
6. Immigration reduced the wealth of hosts because as hosts they are independent and do not need the socialist intervention allowing immigration to occur meaning the people of Australia are weaker and will continue to get weaker.
7. Immigration supports the lowest common denominator which weakens the market position of Australia and makes the whole economy function less effectively as market principle and the peoples will are ignored!!
8. Immigration because of all of the above helps people run out of other peoples money. At the moment balance sheets are rising with assets and liabilities with no income and activity to support it so the ponzi scheme has to crash down shortly!!
9. Immigration because of all of the above reduces cohesion and reduces the agility of a nation especially in a disruptive era with rapid technological advances as a big Australia makes adjustments far harder and social blocks far greater!!
10. Because of all of the above immigration reduces living standards of the existing citizens and increases inequality in society.
