    yes, I don't deny that was part of the Abbott plan... push all buttons pull all levers sort of plan...

    and yes, I agree with Ian Verrender, an excellent investigative business journo with aeons of deep experience. excellent report.

    its all part of the Plan y'know

    business profits rose rapidly under the Plan... surely you can see that in the chart above.

    yet immigrations was also used to prop up GDP growth with the constant demand of around 20,000 new arrivals each month they were bale to stack consumption data.

    if it weren't for that manipulation the economy would have been in recession doncha see? it was all part of the Plan.

    and now that immigration has been stopped - delayed by 6 months thanks to large numbers of staff cuts to the Dept Immigration... of course we have low unemployment. but immigration provided applicants from all over the world with qualifications and experience for niche positions in digitisation, engineering, science, teaching (universities) and many other hard to find skills in Aus.

    this is what Verrender was pointing to.
