What happened when we turned off the immigration tap for two years?
Jobs were suddenly plentiful - employees were in demand and able to gain significant wage rises and for some even WFH flexibility.
The only ones who didn't have a job were those who couldn't or really didn't want one.
Fast forward to opening up the floodgates - suddenly unemployment is high. and wage increases are being knocked back.
The profits of large banks and corporations do not seem to have been hit. Record breaking Woolies and NAB profits anyone?
I think immigration is being demonised, as it is used to keep workers poor by the corporations.
This means that a lot more people need to start voting both with their wallets, and their feet!
