what we are seeing is not your regular joe blow trader selling a few shares because they don't want to hold on over the weekend but large brokers with a large client base acting on behalf of groups of clients...good gig if you can get it. keen watchers of buying and selling and market depth have seen this in action....single orders appear in an instant with a tag of anything from 10 to 20 buyers or sellers...one broker acting on behalf of a group of traders with the added advantage of 'price moving volumes'... like i said it's a good gig if you can get it.
They are unwinding their trading positions because a golden rule of trading is to never get caught in a trading halt, regardless of any intuitive feelings, attachments or premonitions you may have about a stock.....you can always play the fluctuations and still make your pennies.
like i said i'm salivating for the opportunity to clean the floor with these traders.
