I am living in asia and had lived 2 years in sydney and 2 years in shanghai not too long ago. For sure there are motorcycles every hour especially in such a large city like shanghai with 20M people but the volume are way lesser in winter time. Shanghai train is as advanced if not more advanced and efficient than Australia, taxi ride in shanghai are highly affordable (less than AUD 5 bucks for 5-7km) so motorcycles are not the sole transport in cities like shanghai, beijiing and many other developed cities.

Watch the local sales volume during this period (dec-feb), time will tell and numbers won't lie.

Nov was the beginning of winter and it's getting under zero more often now. Anybody had experience with their iPhone battery dieing quick in cold weather? Hope its not the case with scooter battery.
