Yes I picked up on that word as well - A very strong adjective to use - as far as I can see hasnt been used previously?
Check the meaning of the word from two sources:
1. im�mi�nent/ˈimənənt/
likely to occur at any moment; impending: Her death is imminent.

Seems to me to be a big hint. IMO Looks like things may happen faster than we think.
