I do not think people are dumb or stupid .
Many people just get caught up in the hysteria of the market as you can see from the selling down of many stocks .
As Mr Buffett said this is the time to buy .
He also said you have to be able to with stand the odd down turn if in the long term you want to make money .
There are many books written on the physiological aspect of trading .Take a very large loss and see how hard it is to bounce back into the market full of confidence.
