as a nation, soccer has never been our no1 sport
Lets face it Australian soccer has a long long way to go before... if it can catch up to the rest of the world. pouring money into the game and building statues lol will be no short term fix but when u get politicians involved for an achievement that other soccer nations would just yawn at goes to show how naive we are. just look at the skills and standard played by the Spanish girls compared to us if u understand the game tells us how lucky we were not to have play them in the knockout group stages as any further advancement for us would have ended there
To see our dumb politicians calling for a premature public holiday for a preempted world cup win after beating France and only on penalties with still England and Spain to deal with was the most laughable joke as a nation not just to us but to the rest of the world as well
