IMO, the reason that sales jump up a little and settle back down to 'cash value' again is simply that the big holders don't sell, they are waiting until the trails are completed and the US begins to order (and/or the US army). A few day traders buy (see the relatively low volume) and then sell again when they see its not quite the time just yet. Our day will come I'm sure, though it has been a long time coming!
