The average Singapore spot jet fuel price in A$ terms during the month of APRIL:
2001 $1.44 gallon
2002 $1.22 gallon
2003 $1.09 gallon
2004 $1.31 gallon

for the first week of May the price was $1.52 a gallon.


The recently announced ticket surcharge will raise a minimum of $260 mil per year.

QAN currently spend about $1.2 bil a year on fuel

The new 737-800's being introduced are 13-26% more fuel efficient than the earlier models.

On top of all that, QAN are 50% headged for their 2005 fuel needs at considerably less than current prices.
