Yes, its interesting that the goverment can do something like this in the interest of protecting the battlers, when with the other hand, they are encouraging battling families who couldn't save, to get deep into debt to buy an overpriced property on 0% deposit.

So many people, that have taken the govts FHB bribes are now close to losing their homes or have a mortgage they will never pay off. The majority would have been better off renting and saved a lifetime of stress, but the govt needed the taxes it makes from the construction industry so wasn't quite so concerned about loan ripoffs then and thats where the real problem lies.
