I wonder what the implications of this proposed merger are for a deal with big pharma from the perspective of Avexa. If they struck a deal before the meeting to approve the merger, would that make people less likely to approve it (because Avexa wouldn't need the cash any more). or would people see it as a sign management is on the ball and 'reward' them by approving the merger. Personally, I think there is a still a lot of water to go under the bridge before this is settled. This could be a way for Avexa to really give big pharma hurry along whilst also ensuring that Avexa can hold out for a good while longer before agreeing to any deal.
