How many people sell cars within 500km's of buying them ?
Given a vehicles' value can drop 25% the minute it leaves the dealer, who in their right mind wants to crystalise that loss?
Maybe if
a) extreme financial hardship occurs (almost immediately) or
b) the car is a complete lemon.
in case a) someone locally will most likely pick up a bargain, in case b ........
and all of a sudden, overseas cars (UK, Japan) are judged to have similar safety standards ?
I'll just go check how many UK porsche turbo S's are for sale that fall within the 12months/500 km clause.
I pay taxes to support this waste of new regulation.
