The govt would want its slice of PRRT in the future me thinks. Cant keep these proj offfline forever, Prelude, Ichy & WPL's proposals all cleared, so no more bottle-neck, even PTTEP plans a FLNG!!
As for KAR's well they'r going for 2 straight-fwd appraisals, B#1 a few kms NW of Pos#2 & the other Z#1 SW of Kr#1. Most info is on the public domain yet no one could b bothered (incl the AFR).
Strategy is simple, basically confirm the top-up Montara sand blanket, which kicked at P#2 during drilling (refer updates & company website), at Boreas#1 (alongwith the Plover) and continuation to the SW at Zephyrus#1. Here's a map showing these 2 wells.
Hope they bring a new rig in Oz. The Legend is with Hess & the 703 is in Malaysia, so hope its a new rig from Transocean's stables capable of drilling deeper high pressure wells.
Here's the map frm COP's EPBC doc. Links etc were posted back in Dec '10. Bottom drawer for now, till the rig arrives late Sept or early Oct.
