To the Hotcopper professionals :-)

I am no expert in this field but i just want to know in your own opinion about a serious question thats stuck in my head.

Do we need to follow the USA stock markets?

We all can see the USA is gone but whenever the DOW JONES goes down or up we follow...why?

Can we follow the Chinese markets instead?

We know that the Chinese Yuan is going to be the next currency to follow so would a reform on this happen as soon a possible?

...my dad just came back from the USA and its really bad...we are lucky to be in this country but unfortunately this LOST government we are in needs to get kicked out or else we will end up like Greece and/or USA...i seriously dont think socialism works in Australia...don't you think?
