I hold about two thirds of my LYC shares as long term (til production) and the rest short term. I find the LT/ST split makes it easier to cope with the tree shaking as it provides good short term trading opportunities. Would be interested to hear what indicators others are using to determine good entry points after a shake. Currently, I just wait until the screams on HC get loud enough then figure we must be close to the bottom and buy. Obviously can't go wrong medium/long term, so not too stressed if I get it wrong.
