    "Is this right or necessary?"

The importation of foreign workers under the guise of a need for skilled labour is a ruse in many instances. It is about reducing wages and conditions, while further adding to the homogenisation of our culture.

It is more the seasonal workers needed on farms that makes most sense, but this could easily be solved with holiday visa's and work for the dole schemes for those under thirty. These are unskilled jobs that anyone who is youthful can do.

The NSW government and more recently the private hospitals have been employing 457 nurses. My mother attended our local emergency department recently and there was only one nurse there who wasn't an import. Most of them were from Asian countries as far as I could see.

In the past the nurses came in their droves from the UK which had a high standard, however how good nurse education is elsewhere is anyone's guess.

What is so disgusting is that, certainly in the case of NSW, the government always seems to forget about the next crop out of university.

In the early nineties the government brought in so many 457's (or equivalent) to fill nursing positions that only 10% of nurse graduates were given an opportunity to get their first year in the public system. Without that first year's graduate program they are left to try their luck working in nursing homes where they are stuck for the rest of their nursing days.

Most of last year's nursing graduates over the entire country have not been able to get into any new grad programs. Then the government will complain that these same graduates haven't paid their hecs fees back... Total waste of three to five years at university.

My thoughts are that this is a part of the globalist's plan to reduce wages around the world to a single common denominator.

George Soros for example, has been playing a role in this in the US for sometime.

"Soros is heavily involved in funding the lobbying for amnesty. His self-funded National Immigration Forum is behind the effort to strong-arm wobbly Republicans to support Congress’s immigration bill that will give full citizenship to illegal immigrants whose “legal” entry into the workforce will destroy the wage structure of this country and hasten the economic crash of the middle class."

They don't want a middle class, we are far too troublesome and let's face it they won't need too many once the robot's have taken over most of the old manual jobs. We are the "useless eaters", a term George Soros has been known to use.

Anyone with half a brain should realize that fascism is alive and well and that plans are afoot to reduce world population down to a much more 'manageable' 500 million. Most people are no longer needed by the elite.

In relation to Obamacare, the health system America 'just had to have',

"Over many years, Soros has been the leading sponsor and shaper of the campaign for the euthanasia agenda, that is now thrust forward by the Obama Administration.

Soros spelled out this campaign in a speech Nov. 30, 1994, describing the launch of his "Project on Death in America."

He called for ending life-saving medical care for the elderly and other useless eaters, and for legalizing narcotics to help shift to the death culture. He explained how when he offered to help his mother kill herself, she refused; when she was unconscious, he withdrew food from her and she starved to death about a week later.

In that speech he stated exactly how he intended to overthrow the American commitment to saving lives, by infiltrating his own paid and trained agents throughout the medical education centers."

Note the recent claims of the elderly in Australia receiving care in Intensive care units. If this has been occurring at all it must be in the private (not really ICU) hospitals and maybe St. Vincent's with its strong catholic church influence. It just doesn't occur in the public system in NSW and more than likely other states as well. Worked there for years and only ever saw one person over 70 years and he was expected to have an excellent outcome for a planned procedure, only took up the bed for a short time and was a pollie's father. The result was as planned.
