It doesn't only apply to imports though . Where I work there has been a casualisation of the workforce over the years .
These people don't take sickies , cover up small injuries etc because they know what will happen if they don't .
There is two sides to this of course . There have been many over the years who have exploited the sickie system etc . On the other side of it , some really good workers I know are being treated poorly .
At some point the rest of us should take some responsibility over this as we benefit ( through lower costs ) because of it .
