Zijin has traded cash for shares ...instead of the bond...

Zijin has traded cash for shares ...instead of the bond arrangement...is that correct?
That occured in SA? did it? what currency and exchange rate?
DRA were owed payment but took shares in lieu I believe...they must have converted Rand owed into ASX shares in AU$ or rather cents...how/where do these transactions occur? How does a takeover offer from another country play out or is it easier/more likely if they are on the same bourse or country or?
WE dont get told the DRA are owed XYZ rand converted equals ZYX dollars etc.
10cents AU is about 1 rand.
But then again these are Bermuda based Cos and might transact over there. Does anyone know about such things? also happened across this company check site and cant find Genorah but can find Bengwenyama. I assumed that Genorah was south african. Wouldnt a BEE be south african or isnt Genorah a BEE? Shanduka comes up. Have I missed something like they are a different type of company not listed on the link or the info isnt complete or have I made a simple error in my search ?..
