yes, its the tax paid by the company....and you get the credit....your div statement shows the unfranked div, the franked div, and the imputation credits..
the cash you received is the unfranked, and franked div...
when you do your tax return, you add in the imputation credit to the above....then you receive a tax credit for the same amount, to offset the tax payable
unfranked divs = no company tax paid on that amount....so no imputation credit
