For those interested, two links below
the first is on the pembro trial in high MSI colorectal cancer. Started 2016, this published four years later, 307 patients over 23 countries.Encouraging for PD1 treatments, hence the interest in NEOPOLEM
The NEOPOLEM trial is looking at pathological response rates. This refers to the examination of the resected cancer.
The treatment is given before surgery, ( 3 injections of PD1 Vaxx) along other neo adjuvant therapies, chemo +/- radiation.
Therefore the primary objective of the trial will be known much sooner than the secondary ones( survival / disease free times etc) It won’t be four years before being written up. It seems that the IMU team has a talent for planning trials.

The second link is a case report of a patient who had a pathological complete response , ie no tumour found on the respected specimen. A PD1 inhibitor was used with chemo radiation pre operative.( as a one off, see below!)
. Now that can happen without a PD1 inhibitor as well. I’m keenly awaiting the results of the NeOPOLEM trial .
