It seems to me a buyout at this stage is very unlikely. I doubt the directors and large holders would accept a deal that wasn't reflecting what they think is the potential. And the potential is largely unproven. So a bid would need to be a very big gamble.
Factors that might have some bearing on the share performance in the next few weeks are tax loss selling before the end of June and possibly market manipulation. Both these being negative.
The share price is trending downwards. The realistic catalysts for improvement is announcements on trial results/success, and deals to commercialize, or possibly the FDA granting fast track approval. The latter would be next year at the earliest?
So the most likely event to turn the trend at this stage is publication or presentation of the results of the ongoing trials. I understand updates are due about now or in July.
The case for IMU as an investment must be well known to a broad section of share investors in Australia, particularly traders. The stock has performed dramatically in recent years. The cash raises and subsequent poor performance has probably soured some. But a strong fan base still exists.
So it seems to me that there are fundamentals that the shares could bounce on good trial results, perhaps double or more. With no news or less than impressive trial results I would imagine the shares drifting lower in this market.
So short term to me, the shares have a favorable upside to risk potential. In the medium term will come commercialization deals if the science is as favorable as many anticipate. The big money starts to look realistic with FDA approvals, though if results are exceptional with no safety issues we can probably anticipate this is a given for something as prevalent and dire as cancers.
So I am looking to buy in over the next 2 weeks to catch the potential rerate over results. Ideally I then hold for around 2 years if I don't trade a portion..

I have similar thoughts and also bought in at 13c...........been averaging down to build a position because I, like you, think that there could well be a possible sp rerate on the cards. Knowing when the rerate will come is difficult to time correctly.............we could well be waiting until Xmas for any peer review as this will be the kicker.
