Much much better to be pleasantly surprised by a tremendous outcome than to be disproportionately disappointed by the non delivery of an misplaced, mistimed and maybe overblown expectation.
Just a hard lesson I learned over too many christmas mornings of new socks and neck ties unboxings.
Just saying...
I don't think I have ever heard a big Lotto winner saying "Yeah, we both quit our jobs before checking the numbers on our ticket, and then drove to the Lottery hq and claimed our winnings after that. It was a good day."
But...
Having hopes and dreams are never a bad thing, right?
