Whilst we all accept that there is always a lot of tax loss selling by retail investors in June each year, the “wash-sale” rule has a signifiant effect on those that want to buy back into the investment.
The wash-sale rule states that if an investment is sold at a loss and then repurchased within 30 days, the initial loss cannot be claimed for tax purposes. Therefore investors must wait 30 days before repurchasing the same stock
In IMU’s case, I am sure that many that did sell to take advantage of tax losses, will want to buy back in.
Particularly with the ongoing release of positive performance news, that continues to not be reflected in the share price.
In my opinion, this means that we should see a significant increase in demand for IMU during July, which should intern have a positive impact on the depressed share price.
Any investor who has followed and researched IMU’s progress, would not want to miss out on what, again IMO, is a once in a life time opportunity and accordingly would want to get back in as soon as they can.
