If your investment preference is a partnership, a decent MC and a "challenging" SOI/fully diluted scenario may help prevent takeovers (or at least cause them to be more attractive).
Regardless, the SP achieving an appropriate value is necessary prior to prevent retailers being "cut out" too early in the value process. Furthermore, big Pharma can expedite the product to market and consumers. Saving lives and improving health is obviously the greatest company maker metric.
