If I tilt my head whilst I think about it, if a public company could delay any possible good news they have sitting in the artillery chest, I would be waiting for these macros to blow off before I gave a big announcement. with the timing of the health care sell off, IMU inclusion in asx200 and the SP suppression games that are played, covid dramas, rate hikes, global uncertainty of war.. Id be worried the market would smile and keep walking, the algos would start up again to drive the price back down to try and accumulate more.

I’d wait for some dust to settle, some sentiment to change, and BAM! Hit the announcement button and get the fire roaring. All times well with market winds!

I have no idea what legal tactics public companies can take help announcements match market sentiment timing but it’s a its a thought.
