When buying a company do you put you bid in st a particular market cap? Can you buy on market market cap? Do share charts plot market cap against volume.

Or do you look at market cap vs peers to determine if a company is potentially cheap, fair value or over valued. and then consult a chart to determine the share price you will buy/sell at?

The market determines the share price. Sometimes it gets it right. At other times it takes some time to get it righ. After FOMO has driven it too high, or a scare has driven it too low. The true market value is what someone will pay per share, so the share price at a certain time period. The share price will determine the market cap. And sometimes the share price is too high or too low, then so to is the market cap. But that was true value at that time, even if its not now.

Simple or what?
