All good @slick! Thanks for the constructive feedback, it's always welcome! Trendline analysis is a bit of a black art to me and I think is often open to (mis)interpretation, or "biases" as you put it, and potentially requires readjustment based on new price data. Over the past few months I've mostly been reading the commentary whilst monitoring the IMU price trend, over which time I've increasingly been using Bollinger Bands, Parabolic SAR & MACD as my primary indicators over varying time-frames and intervals, and have found them to be quite effective at suggesting future price movements over short and longer terms. Watching this morning's price action, it looks like my question re breakout direction has been answered. The picture (minus the trendlines) tells the story.
